Chelmsford Head Office is open for business...

Woodland Group has completed its move into new headquarters in Chelmsford.
The Group has relocated from Coggeshall to larger premises offering 70,000 sq ft of warehousing space and 7,000 sq ft of high quality office space.
Commenting on the changes, Kevin Stevens, Woodland Group chairman and chief executive officer, said: “As our businesses continue to grow, it is increasingly important to be clear about what, where and how Woodland serves its customers.”
Last year, Woodland undertook a strategic review of the group’s activities and, as a result, has launched a new look which unites all divisions under one banner. Woodland’s new branding is being rolled out now, to include new websites and livery across the group.
CMR Logistics, which provides UK distribution and warehousing services, has changed its identity to Woodland Logistics. New livery has been adopted and the company aims to have around 80 trucks sporting the new look by the summer.
Bookbridge, offering specialist logistics services for the book industry, becomes a part of Woodland Media, which provides a full international logistics and transportation solution for publishers and printers. The media division is the fastest growing within the group and recently won the special services award at the BIFA 2009 Freight Service Awards.
The remainder of the Woodland Group international supply chain management, freight forwarding and customs clearance services come under the banner of Woodland Global, which provides services by air, sea and road. Offering true global reach, Woodland has offices in the UK, Ireland, the U.S and in Asia, as well as a comprehensive agency network.
In a separate development, Woodland Entertainment, which provides logistics solutions for the music, art, television and film industries, has also opened a new office, in the city of London, offering greater communication links with its clients.
Mr Stevens continued: “Enhancing our distribution capabilities, our new premises in Essex will serve as Woodland’s main warehouse facility in the south and complement our recently-opened warehouse in Rotherham, in the north of England.
“We are encouraged by our continued growth but we have no intention of resting on our laurels. These changes are about making it easier for our customers to recognise our premier offering in the transport and logistics sector and to raise awareness of the full range of services provided by the group.”
