Woodland International Transport is celebrating winning a BIFA Freight Service award in recognition of its rapid growth in the publishing sector.

Essex-based Woodland won the special services award after impressing judges with a dedicated division, Woodland Media Logistics, which provides logistics solutions for the magazine and book trade.

It was praised for bringing innovation and investment to the publishing supply chain and was commended for jumping 65 places in the most recent IATA league table, thanks to continued demand for its publishing logistics services.

The judges said: “As a newcomer to the magazine sector, Woodland demonstrated an innovative approach with its IT solutions and market-leading software. The success of the media team benefited from the total commitment of company staff at all levels to ensure the success of the new division.”
